Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Introduced in 2001, the .NAME universal top-level domain extension is the only one intended for personal websites only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are known by. At first, just 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to reserve john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already acquired 3rd-level domain names remained running.

Through our firm, you can purchase your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to modify the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer key from the present domain service provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no particular conditions on who can grab a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the idea behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.
