A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to inactive addresses under the same domain. For instance, an email message sent to the misspelled [email protected] will be delivered to [email protected] if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can receive emails from colleagues or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all mailbox effortlessly in case you have a cloud website hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is fully featured, yet remarkably user-friendly, and it will permit you to activate various options, including the catch-all one, with just a couple of mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each of them you’ll find a small-size "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will enable this feature, clicking it once more will deactivate it. Since you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you already have another one with this option activated or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be enabled without difficulty in case you have a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up with the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be displayed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll notice a small-size logo handily located directly next to each one of them. With only a click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable the feature using the menu that will come into view. In case any of the preconditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will let you know, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
